Palio of Siena

I advise the people who are in Tuscany to visit Siena during the week of the Palio.
In this period the city becomes fantastic

I agree, the whole week preceding the Palio is also quite an experience! The contradas have nightly streetside dinners and parade around the streets in preparation, as well as there being trial races around the Campo. The Giraffe contrada won the race on the 16th!
