Visiting Tuscany Rome in early November
My husband & I will be visiting Florence in early November (for the first time). We'll be staying at Villa Casagrande for 5 nights; then will leave for Rome for 2 nights.
We'll have a rent car and plan visiting piazza Duomo, Uffizi Gallery via Vasari Corridor (taking a tour), Leaning Tower in Pisa. Would it be possible to cover this in 5 days?
Any tips on
-what weather can be expected this time of the year
-best eatery places for authentic Italian restaurants, great winery and last (but not least)
-any events/exibitions/concerts this time of the year (possibly, web sites to purchase the tickets)
-better commuting will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks much in advance,

Eateries in the area
One of my favorite restaurants is no too far off from where you are (about a 20 min drive on a beautiful country road). It is a local place with great authentic food and a terrace area. Even though you are here in November doesn't mean that the weather will be cold - last year we didn't turn our heater on until the weekend of Thanksgiving! Nice!
You can find out more about the restaurant here: http://www.paglietta.it/ -
I would suggest that you make an afternoon day trip - drive to the restaurant, eat a leisurely lunch (not expensive) - ask them if the olive oil mill is open, if they are already harvesting olives they can sometimes get you in to see the pressing. After lunch you can follow the road towards Grassina (not much to see but it gives you a point of reference) and here you will hit some beautiful Chianti scenery. You can check out one of these two vineyards (be sure to reserve for both...but well worth it)

@DonnaDenise: Thanks so much for your response! We now are in the planning mode (I'm realizing it's not as simple!), so will definitely include this on our itineraries list to Chianti. Angie
