    Default Suggestions for traveling alone

    Ciao -
I am a 45 year old woman that would like to get some suggestions on traveling to the following:
Rome, Florence, Siena, Cinque Terre, Tuscany and Venice. Can this be done in 7 - 10 days? What is the best time to visit these places? Am I able to rent a room for a few days and travel by foot, train or bus without having to pack up each time? Leaving from Newark Airport NJ which airport is best to fly into in Italy? Grazie!

    Default Suggestions for traveling alone

all the places you wish to see are very beautiful, perhaps it will not be easy to see all of them in just 7 could choose to stay somewhere in the wonderful countryside near Florence or Siena for some days (so that you can see the Chianti area, the Val di Merse, the Crete, Florence, Siena etc.) without having to pack up. From Tuscany, for example from Siena, there are good bus connections to Rome (by bus it will take you 3 hours to reach Rome from Siena). Cinque Terre and Venice instead, are more difficult to reach and it is probably better to moove and to look for something to rent directly there.
We wish you a very nice holiday! Arrivederci!

    Default 7-10 day itin

that's a lot of places to be visiting in just 7-10 days. Rome, Florence, Siena, Cinque Terre, Tuscany and Venice!

They are also spread out enough that to base yourself in one place could be a bit difficult. You could
look into flying into Rome and then out of Venice and this would save you some travel time. From Florence you can visit Siena & Cinque Terre with public transport or look into a tour, if you are traveling on your own you might enjoy meeting other people:

From Rome to Florence and then Florence to Venice is all very easily done with the train. Your itin might look like this:

Rome 2 days - late train on 2nd day to Florence

Florence 5 days (1 day Siena, 1 day Cinque Terre, 1 day Chianti, 2 days Florence)

Venice 2 days - early morning train to Venice...this is undoubtedly the most expensive city for a hotel so you would do best to keep it as short as possible.

Keep in mind even though the train travel is fast and convenient you still need to calculate some time for travel.

    Buon Viaggio
