Default Family visit to Tuscany in early July

    Hello all,

We plan to be in Tuscany for 1-2 weeks from 9 July.

Our party is 8 adults and 4 active(!) children aged 6-10 years.

We are looking for recommendations for general locations to stay and specific accommodation. Ideally villas or cost effective other types of accommodation for large groups in the countryside with close access to a local town or village, the wine region and within striking distance of the better beaches. If that is all possible!

Could you provide some suggestions / recommendations?

Thank you in advanc for your patience and assistance as newcomers both to Tuscany and this forum!

    Default Family fun

    Buongiorno,

My first suggestion would be to have a read through this article that highlight 10 accommodations in Chianti which are especially suited for families and large groups.

I have personally visited 5 - Agriturismo Montalbino, 7 - Santa Maria and 8 - Borgo Sicelle - number 7 is probably the closest to the beaches...though it is still a bit of a drive.

And if you are staying in the Chianti area, have a look at this article which talks about fun things to do with kids.

    Buon Viaggio,
