Public Transport from Siena
I am travelling with my husband and 5 teenagers at the end of August to Italy. We are arriving in Florence and staying overnight. We will then travel to Siena (near the train station) to stay for 7 nights
We are looking to travel to Pisa, to see a couple of medieval walled cities, possibly Rome (although if this doesn't fit it we will make a separate trip later) and would like to soak up the atmosphere in Siena and immediate surrounding area.
Then to travel back to Florence to catch plane back.
We want to avoid hiring a car so please could someone tell me if we are best to travel by train and bus and are there any discount tickets (season tickets) available for multiple trips?
Many thanks in advance.
