Default Driver for Chianti Wine Country

Ciao! We are arriving next weekend in Florence and staying at a Villa outside of Rufina with friends. We would like to spend a day visiting wineries, but need to find someone who will pick us up at the Villa vs. departing from Florence. Any recommendations for a driver for 10/24 (and/or 10/26)- preferably someone who knows about wine (though we can arrange tours if necessary). Castella di Ama is on our list - any others we shouldn't miss? Thank you!

    Buongiorno,

    Have used Simone from the Florence area (essemazzini@gmail.com) or with What's App - +39 334 705 3211

Good English, professional, on time and knowledgable about the area. I would highly recommend you contact him.

You can read my experience with him in this article here: http://www.discovertuscany.com/blog/...-tasting-3171/

As for wineries, have a look at this link which lists several wineries (and accommodations) but you can concentrate on the cantinas - which are well worth the visit:

or have a look at this article which names a few of my personal favorites:

    Buon Viaggio,

    Default Long term Driver

    Buongiorno,

Sure - the drivers are open to any of your requests. I suggest you contact the names above and let them know what you are looking for and ask for an offer on their part.

My only consideration would be, the above are small (single drivers) so that means you would have the same driver for the entire trip thus giving you a chance to form a relationship whereas if you go with a larger company, you may have a new driver every time.

    Yours,

    Donna Denise
