Pick a spot please
We are staying in Castellina in Chianti for a few days and have a pretty full calendar during our time there. We do have an afternoon that is still free and thinking of a short car ride to some other town in Tuscany to walk around and enjoy and would like your recommendations from the following spots we have interest in: San Gimignano Poggibonsi Monteriggioni or another of your choice thanks in advance,

San Gimignano and Monteriggioni
Dear JMFell,
I pick both San Gimignano and Moteriggioni, that are splendid medieval towns. San Gimignano is a walled town characterized by high towers, while Monteriggioni is a small medieval village enclosed in impressive defensive walls.
They both deserve to be visited and I think you will be able to do both on the same afternoon. I suggest you start in San Gimignano that is bigger than Monteriggioni. Then you can end up in Monteriggioni for dinner.
I suggest you also have a look at the pictures of San Gimignano and Monteriggioni.
I hope you'll then share your experience with us
