Default In need of Private Transportation around Florence and Greve, Chianti.

Hello, I will be visiting Florence and Greve, Chianti in June and I would love some advice or a recommendation on private drivers and/or tour guides that can organize customized tours. It will be a group of 6-8 people and a friend in the group has a relatively new prosthetic leg, so buses and trains are not really an option. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    Ciao Andrea,

You're right, buses and trains would not be a good option just because it would be a lot of hassle for your friend to move around the stations, and of course trying to fit in with schedules would be difficult for all.
You can look into the possibility of renting a minivan and driving it yourselves, or rent one with a driver, or look into doing guided tours for specific days you're interested in.

For minivans with driver (some without), take a look at these (we are not affiliated with them but if you use them, give us feedback so we know which ones work!):

    Dear Andrea,
buongiorno! I am sure that there will be the chance to find the best suitable van for you and your friends/family. I would surely recommend BLUCARSERVICE, they both have 7seat vans or 8seat vans. Matteo & Mauro run the company in a very professional way, they can customize the trip to Chianti according to your needs and suggest lots of "cantine" (cellars). As far as Florence you may decide to tour the town both with a tour guide and by van. It will be extremly comfortable, easy and quick. You may inquiry directly to BLUCARSERVICE, they are also in touch with selected tour guides of Florence (

By van in Florence you may tour both the hills (Fiesole or Piazzale Michelangelo & San Miniato church) and the city center, which is accessible to authorized vans, as far as the Oltrarno district. Short walks + enjoyable local experiences and transportation throughout the day.

Wishing you a nice stay in Tuscany
    a presto

Default my suggestion for your trip in Tuscany with private tour/driver guide

Ok, I am just back from my trip in Italy.......I actually found an amazing tour/driver guide, suggested by a friend of mine. I absolutely recommend him to everyone going to Tuscany and want to have a lifetime experience in Italy; he knows all the best places to visit and the wineries for wine tasting; his English is just perfect (he used to live in the States); his rates are very low and he drives a luxury car. Cannot get better than this!! Write him at:
He can also provide service from the Airport to your Hotel and he is so kind that he will also help you to plan your trip in Italy! Oh, I forgot...he is also an amazing photographer and he took great pictures for my wife and I. Contact him; he is the best! (He is also very knowledgeable and funny!).
