Default Local caterers / Suckling pork spit

Hi Everyone

I am looking for a contact name for a caterer or butcher that does suckling pig on the spit. Ideally someone who would come to our event. Set up the spit in the morning and be there in the afternoon to carve and serve. I know this is a local dish but I am struggling to find someone who can help us

Additionally, If anyone has any suggestions on good chefs/ local cooks that could do a small wedding with a BBQ/Salads/ Spit pig at a villa - that would also be great.

Default do you have a villa already for the wedding?

ciao emma and welcome to the DT forum!

You don't tell us whether you already have a villa for the wedding. If you tell us the area where you'll be, maybe some of our readers will find it easier to provide recommendations for local cooks/caterers.

If you don't yet have a villa, do you have an idea of what area in Tuscany you'd like to hold the wedding? That could also prove to be helpful.

I'm asking because it might be best to start your search for a caterer/cook/chef only after you have found your location, because as you've pointed out, you'll want someone local that can come in the morning and practically be there all day.

Once you have your location, you can also request assistance from the villa owners or personnel in finding a cook or butcher that can come and cater the wedding. The villa itself might have a trusted caterer or cook that generally offers their services for events.

So let us know if you already have a location what it is (you can keep it general) and hopefully our forum members will have some recommendations.
