Advice for Valdarno Area

Hi Rezi, I'd like to offer you an accomodation in Valdarno area, between Arezzo and Florence, form here you can visit by trainn Arezzo and Florence and by car Siena- Lucca and Pisa in 1 hour. Our agritourism is in the Tuscany Hills www.agriturismoilbellini.it , we're friendly and usually we like to became friends with our guests.

Ciao Rezi,

When are you coming? If in the summer, many farmhouses rent by the week.... but there are many that have also recently started to rent by the day, with maybe a 3 night minimum. So you have a variety of choices.

So you arrive in Florence and then plan to rent a car... I am assuming you don't want to stay in Florence and have just 1 base, correct? The places you intend to visit can also be visited by train, so just know you have that option as well, using Florence as your base for the 4 days. Only Portofino is harder to get to by train - not impossible, but just longer with more train changes.

If you want to stay close enough to Florence, you could look into apartments such as Poderino or Villa La Medicea if you want a pool.

You could stay close to San Gimignano here: http://www.tuscanyaccommodation.com/apartment-la-roccaia.html
or here: http://www.tuscanyaccommodation.com/villa-le-torri.html
but also take a look at these two:

Given you a variety of choices so you can take a look and see if one catches your fancy more than another. The one above posted by Rossana is a bit further in the opposite direction from Pisa, Lucca or the coast, so in this case I'd say to stay more central.
