Tuscany place for 5 people

Hi, my family including my husband and 3 teenage kids will be traveling next summer June 2018 to Italy. We would like to stay in Tuscany for 4 nights or so. We will have a car. We are looking for a nice place to serve as homebase so we can do day trips. We like the idea of the agriturismo but there are so many places to choose from and it's quite overwhelming. Looking for suggestions on a place that will accommodate 5 people. We like a bit of a luxury feel but most important is cleanliness and good service. A pool is a bonus and a room with air-conditioning is important as well. Any advice? Thanks!

Buonasera,

for your summer holiday you could stay in the territory of Sovicille, a small country village, where there are many agriturismi. From Sovicille to Siena it will take you only 20 minutes (15 kms) by car. You could stay in Sovicille and from there reach many other beautiful places: Monteriggioni, the Abbey of san Galgano with the sword in the rock... For any other informations you can find us on Facebook! Get in touch!

Kid Friendly places

Buongiorno,

There are so many places that you can go to where kids will find something to do! That is just one of the great things about Tuscany

Here is an article of our top ten choices all over Tuscany: http://www.discovertuscany.com/tusc...ndly-places-to-stay/top-ten-kid-friendly.html

Have a look at this article which will also give you a few ideas of things you can do in Tuscany which the kids might enjoy.

Villa Vacasio, Pitigliano (bookings.com)
great area to explore Etruscan ruins and several easy little towns(Sovana, Sorano, Saturnia, Civita di Bagnoreggio); day trips to Orvieto and lots of other great cities
google Abbey of San Galgano, Sword in the Stone...the kids will be amazed!
Monteriggioni is easy too; Montalcino is horribly hilly with wayyy too many steps Castel Banfi Il Borgo, great castle, most famous wine
Have fun!

Southern Tuscany

Ciao -

Pitigliano is definitely an intriguing part of Tuscany with so much to offer. Just a word of caution, if this is your first time here it might set in a position where some of the more common sites are a long drive (and with kids in the car that can be a downer....)

I would look for something a bit more central or closer to main roads (autostrada or the Fi-Pi-Li the east west road connecting Florence to Pisa and the coast.)

For example, I just visited and did a review on La Masseria, ideal position for day trips and travels:
