Touring Tuscany
My husband and I and another couple will be in Tuscany September or October 2018 for one week. We would like information on the best place to use as our base to take day trips around Tuscany. We would love to see the countryside and places such as Florence and Pisa and maybe the coastline. And of course any other places in Tuscany that is a must see.

Buonasera,
you could choose Sovicille as a base - it is a characteristic village in the countryside, at only 12 km from Siena that is a must see in Tuscany, and not so far away from the cities that you want to visit: precisely 80 km from Florence and 120 km from Pisa.
The countryside near Sovicille is rich in ancient monuments and wonderful landscapes; normally in october, there is an event called "Sovicille delle Meraviglie" where castles, churchs and villas are all open to visits.
If you want to see the coastline, some beautiful places are Castiglione della Pescaia in the province of Grosseto (90 km) and the islands of the archipelago.
