We are a group of 6 travelling to Cortona for 7 nights then to Florence for a few nights. We would love to find a festival, concert, or art showing to attend while we are there. Can anyone offer any suggestions? Grazie!

Hello CRock,

Wasn't able to find much for those dates aside from the photography exhibit called "Cortona on the Move".
But it could just be that the info has not been posted yet... I'd check these two sites closer to your departure dates, it is likely they will be updated by then.

In any case, also when you're here, just stop by the tourism office - they will have the latest on events in the area, many of which often don't even make it to the web.

Thank you Lourdes!

I have saved the links and will check back in a few weeks.

We will have a car so if there are any events within an hour of Cortona we would be interested in those as well.

I was in Florence and Siena in the 90's but never in the smaller towns of Tuscany. We are so excited about our trip.

Can you recommend a cooking class? I found a couple online but they are a bit pricey at 125 Euro.

Thanks again!

You will love the smaller towns, very different than staying in Florence.... there are visitors but you never feel crowded.

Visit Arezzo for sure!! the tourism office there will definitely have more info on the whole area as far as events go.

For cooking classes, take a look at the ones listed here:

The third one, the one offered by Kitchen Chez Nous, is a great option if you have several people and are at an apartment or villa with your own kitchen... they go directly to you for the cooking classes, so in this case it might be less expensive than paing for each member of your group.
