Hi, my daughter is looking to come to Florence in May from uk with a view to looking at wedding venues. We are looking for any help with any recommendations of venues or companies who can arrange the day. We are looking to stay for 14 days and incorporate a holiday, we are looking for accommodation for 4 couples in a villas with pool in the hills of Florence, any recommendations would be greatly welcome.
Thanks

Wedding Venues around Florence

Buongiorno,

there are so many places to choose from ... the two places I suggest will also work with you on a simple but authentic "Tuscan meal" as your reception and both have a great garden area.

I like Casa Palmira because it is close to public transport making and they have an area that can be used for dancing music and the reception.

I like Le Due Volpi for its home feel, beautiful scenery and the owners are incredible chefs!!!

Both are B&B's but they Le Due Volpi will also rent the entire house to one group - and still offer meals upon request.

Buon Viaggio -- and don't hesitate to ask if you want a few more suggestions,

For help with the wedidng planning, you can depend on a local planner - take a look at the ones we recommend here:

A planner can do as much or as little as you want them to, so it is good to know what you'd like and have a chat with them to see what they can do and how they can help. Usually the first consultation is free.

If you're looking for wedding venues yourself, I'd suggest you also take a look at Villa il Poggiale in Chianti - http://www.tuscanyaccommodation.com/villa-il-poggiale.html
Fattoria i Ricci - http://www.tuscanyaccommodation.com/fattoria-i-ricci.html
Villa Dianella - http://www.tuscanyaccommodation.com/villa-dianella.html
Borgo Pietrafitta - http://www.tuscanyaccommodation.com/borgo-di-pietrafitta.html
Villa Piaggia - http://www.tuscanyaccommodation.com/villa-piaggia.html

You can also plan to stay at some of these in May so you can get a better feel of the place.
All of them are in the hills around Florence (only the last two are further away in Chianti) with about a 30-40 min drive into Florence.

If you actually find a venue you like, you can ask them for recommendations with planners they work with (working backward instead of having the planner help you scout for locations).
