Early January in Florence
Hello!
I will be visiting Florence January 2 - 5, 2017. I was curious as to how crowded Florence is at the time and whether it is necessary to book ahead for the Accademia and Uffizi or look at purchasing the Firenze Card for that time. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Florence in January
Buongiorno,
Florence is ALWAYS busy
And since schools are out, and many Italians have holidays in this period you might find the streets a little fuller than normal with the locals.
Have a read thru this article for some advice regarding the Firenze Card: https://www.visitflorence.com/floren...-worth-it.html
It doesn't hurt to have your spot in line assured, it will just mean that you fly through everything faster and maybe even have extra time for shopping the sales which start on the 5th of January (yeah!!!)
I would suggest that you get your tickets for the Duomo and surround monuments online, because you can save 5Euro a ticket when you book ONLINE.
Buon Anno,
Donna Denise
