Wheelchair user in Florence.

I shall be visiting Florence in July 2017. I know that as a wheelchair user/disabled person I can get free admission to some museums but I don't know what the required "papers "are to prove my disability. Can anyone help me please?
If anyone has any good tips or advice I would gladly welcome these too.
Thank you

Buongiorno,

Have a look at this article we put together for people visiting with a wheelchair:

This article also provides more detailed information for the Uffizi:

and this article confirms the mobility in the Galleria Accademia:

I have seen that they (may) ask you for a certificate that testifies to your disability. Though that makes sense in Italy and possibly the European community, because it would be an official certificate that they can understand - I am not sure how that would word for a non-Italian or non-EU citizen?? Do you have a certificate like that from your country residency?

Buon Viaggio,

Donna Denise
