Donatello's Wood Crucifix at Santa Croce: am I the only one who is fussy about this?

Visiting the monuments

Buongiorno,

I get you, sometimes you just want to see things up close and in detail.

Unfortunately, we have seen it time and time again, there are a few admirers who are not as cautious about their "admiration technique".

I have no secret suggestions on how to get close and personal with these pieces - however, if you really are interested in Donatello, maybe you can follow this itinerary and see some of his other works just a bit closer: https://www.visitflorence.com/itineraries-in-florence/donatello-in-florence.html

Buon Viaggio,

Donna Denise
