Activities for kids in Tuscany
Welcome to the Forum!
Colle Val d'Elsa is indeed lovely, a very good choice for your Tuscan holiday!
Tuscany offers plenty of activities for your kids, it's the right place to be!
As to outdoor activities, your kids might enjoy horseback riding.
In and near Colle Val d'Elsa you may find good riding schools, such as the
Club Ippico L'Agrifoglio, located nearby.
Another possibility is swimming, Tuscany is full of beautiful beaches. I suggest reaching the seaside, less than an hour and a half driving from Colle Val d'Elsa.
The nearest beach is in Cecina. The beach is sandy and the waters clean.
And, always in Cecina, your children will surely love the new waterpark
Acqua Village, offering a lot of attractions, like kids pools, slides, and games of any kind!
Only a bit further southest of Cecina, there's another large amusement park, the
Cavallino Matto.
Cycling can be another possibility as well. Practically everywhere in Tuscany you can rent bicycles or mountain bikes and start discovering a lot of beautiful and hidden places in the countryside.
Finally, the kids may also enjoy taking part in some cooking courses, it can be something new and fun for them
In case your kids like art or history, in the main museums and monuments of Florence and Siena you will find book shops with books especially for children that present and explain the city and its history in a fun way, often as a scavenger hunt which makes their visit more interesting!
This would be a good option if you also plan to visit the great art cities of Tuscany. In this way you could make it a fun activity for your kids as well.
I'm sure you and your kids will have a lot of fun!
