Museum pass

I've purchased a 72 hour museum pass for Florence. Please tell me if the 72 hours start when I pick up the pass or when I first use it??

According to the official website, the Firenze Card is valid for 3 consecutive days from its first use - whether it is a visit to a museum or use of public transport.

In my opinion, since you can pick up the card at several museums included in the card, if you pick up there make sure to tell the ticket office that you don't (or do) want to start your card from that moment by visiting that museum right then and there.... otherwise your pick up in those points might be counted as being "first use" and your 72 hours start.
