    Default Wine tasting in Chianti

    I am planning a trip to Italy in November and have been trying to find information on when to go wine tasting in Chianti, is there certain days of the week that the wineries are not open for tastings or do all the wineries vary in their hours and closings?

    They all vary in days and closings, some of them require booking ahead of time. You can start by looking at the most popular suggested on this thread such as Vicchiomaggio and Verrazzano if you're thinking of driving yourself and organizing the visit.... otherwise, if you're interested in some serious wine tastings without the worry about driving, I suggest joining a tour - here are some suggestions:
