Parking in Siena for Palio

We are due to visit Tuscany for 2 weeks in August. The first week we will be staying not far from San Casciano in Val Di Pesa and I was hoping to visit Siena for one of the Palio trials, probably on the evening of 13 August. We have a car and wondered whether anyone could recommend the best parking options - would it be best to park on Viale Mario Bracci and use the bus to get in and out of the centre or to try and get somewhere more central.

We are a family of four with kids aged 9 and 6 and would therefore want to get away quite quickly after the Palio trial has ended.

Thanks

Parking during Palio

Buongiorno!
It will not be easy to find a parking during the Palio days ... Siena is than always very crowded.
You can try to reach "PARCHEGGIO IL CAMPO" which is the closest to Piazza del Campo (it has 570 spaces). Otherwise try to park around the fortress "PARCHEGGIO STADIO / FORTEZZA" close to Piazza Matteotti (780 spaces).
:)

Siena is super crowded on the day of the Palio but if you go on one of the trial days, it should definitely be more manageable and not as crowded.
I second what Soville has posted above, either of those will work well for parking and are big enough to have space.
