We are 5 adults and 3 kids (6 yrs, 4 yrs and 1.5 yrs).

We wish to visit:

Florence
Siena
Pisa
Arezzo
Cortona
Lucca
San Gimignano

We wish to stay on a farm (agroturismo) and move around on daily basis. We have planned to hire cars for mobility.

Advice on my thoughts above and if I need to alter any areas of interest. The holiday must have a child activity on atlease 4 days out of seven.

Please suggest which town we should stay in and an idea on itenary.

our travel dates are from 16th July to 23rd July 2016.

Any assistance will be much appreciated.

Regards,

Hello,

If you are looking for child activities, your best bet is do go into the countryside to some farms with animals. Pet a goat, ride a pony etc.

I would also recommend staying in one place, at a farm that has a pool and animals or lots of things for kids to do - take a look at this list:

I particularly liked Vernianello and Montalbino ;)

As for specific activities to do with kids, take a look here. http://www.discovertuscany.com/what-to-do-in-tuscany/fun-with-kids/

In between, add top favorites for adults and kids alike as recommended here: http://www.discovertuscany.com/itineraries-in-tuscany/one-week-in-tuscany.html

The book shop at Palazzo Vecchio and Uffizi Gallery have a great kids section with guide books to the museums in Florence made just for kids to make their visits fun -- like looking for clues and details to make it like a scavenger hunt and thus interesting.

Activities for the Kids in Chianti

Buongiorno.

I suggest you read through the newly published article at our Chianti site which has a several activities which would keep the kids happy and allow the parents to still enjoy the genuine beauty of Tuscany.

Considering the age of the kids, I think the first option and also the option with the Rocca di Staggia would be excellent possibilities.

Buon Viaggio
