We are coming to Italy next year and have around 12 days to explore. We will be be flying from or getting the ferry from Dubrovnik probably to Bari. Our priorities to see and do are Florence, Amalfi Coast, Pompeii, villages/wineries of Tuscany (we will be hiring a car) and Cinque Terre. We'll need to fly out of Rome. Can you suggest how many days in each, the best way to do this, where to hire and drop the car as would be happy to take the train as well to places. Is there anything else you think we should include? We would travelling in early October. Thank you. :)

12 days

Buongiorno,

Days 1-3: The drive from Bari to Amalfi is about 4 hours (straight through) and I would calculate 3 days here.

Day 4: My suggestion is to then drive up to Tuscany, with an overnight and a visit in Orvieto.

Day 5 -6: From Orvieto take the route that goes through Acquapendente, Bagni San Filippo spending a night in Siena and enjoy the city.

Day 7: Tour Chianti, end the day with over night in Florence and leave the car.

Day 8: visit Florence

Day 9: go to Lucca & Pisa (with the train) over night in Pisa

Day 10 - 11: Cinque Terre (with train)

Day 12 - go to Rome (with train)

Buon Viaggio,

Donna Denise
