1st Sunday of the month and guided tours with Firenze

Hi
We are looking to visit Florence this September. The Firenze card seems like a good option. We will be a party of 3 adults. I just wondered about the first Sunday in the month and the use of the Firenze card. I am rather less bothered about free entry due to the time spent queueing but my question is can I still use the Firenze card to gain quicker access and avoid the queues on the first Sunday of the month?

My other question is if we purchase Firenze cards how do they work if we decide we would like a guided tour? I assume this isn't included in the price and we would need to pay separately for this? If we do need to pay separately are there discounted guided tours due to us already having bought a Firenze card? The cost of a Uffizzi guided tour is, for example 39 euro, is this what we would pay even with a Firenze card?

Thanks in advance for any guidance you can offer.
