Sundays in Tuscany
Hi! My husband and I will be driving from Florence to just south of Siena on a Sunday in May. We wanted to drive through the Chianti region for wine tastings/tours on our way. Will wineries be open on Sunday? Should we visit San Gimignano and Volterra instead and perhaps save the wine tastings for another day?
Thanks!

Sundays in May
Buongiorno,
Since Easter is in April this year, many places will have already opened their doors to the general public. AND depending on what week in May you can also find the event : Cantine Aperte. This year in 2017 it is 27 & 28 May.
However, can also be a bit overwhelming to participate in the event.
Have a read through the articles at this link for a few suggests of place to stop by. If you call in advance, they will normally have someone ready and waiting ... and upon request even someone who speaks English.

Buon Viaggio,
