Hi evereybody
My wife and I will be in Tusdany early September. We have pre-boooked our trip (road trip through France, Switzerland and northern Italy)up to this point because of August high season. Should we book this early for Florence? (Sept 4-8) We will probably be using airbnb. Also what is parking like outside the city wall if we decide to book a B&B or hotel in the city?
Thanks kennyg

Parking in Florence

Buongiorno,

Parking around Florence is expensive - and I wouldn't suggest that you rely on finding anything free unless you want to park outside of the city and then take transport to your accommodations.

However, there are several places that have parking upon request - or have an agreement with local parking garages - ASK the owner when you book.

For example, I have visited Villa Antea, and they have parking upon request.

Have a look at some of these places - you go direct to the owner (you don't pay any commissions) just like in airbnb.

Read through this article for more information on parking and getting around with a car in Florence:

Buon Viaggio,

Thanks Donna Denise

I have booked an airbnb apartment outside the city walls with parking. It is about 30 min walk to the centre but that won't worry us.
Cheers and thanks
