Hi!
Me and husband is going to spend 10 days venice and tuscany. We will arrived in Treviso airport at 21.00 in the evening. I want to rent a car(can you recomment a renting car company?) for easy access to the places we want to go.

So i made a sample plan for our trip but i would love to get more better adbice plan from you.

Day 1-2 Arrival in Treviso airport. Pick up the rented car at the airpory and drive to verona for overnight or 2. Then maybe explore the Parma and Modena and if possible Bologna

Day 3 Drive to florence and get a hotel. Roam around after

Day 4 Visit Siena, San Gimignano and Chianti. We would really like to enjoy and experience wine tasting and if possible having a steak dinner in one of the wineyards/ restaurant there.

Day 5 Relaxing or visit some flower fields? Rent a bike and go biking around wineyards?

Day 6 Go to Cinque Terre & Portovenere, Monterosso, Vernazza and Riomaggiore

Day 7 Relaxing / shopping / Pisa

Day 8-9 Drive to Venice and get a room and speend the 2 days there. And also it's near to the airport.

Day 10 Drive to Treviso Airport and Viola! Vacation is over.

So what do you think of this? I don't know exactly if this is a good itinerary for 10 days. Technically 9 or 8 days because we will arrived late in the evening. We would like to enjoy the wineyards and do some niceand historical places. And as well the Cinque Terre and the Ligurian Coast. And maybe you can recommend really nice restaurant and not tourist trap. My husband really loves italian food and i want to bring him to restaurants where they served authentic italian food and me i love fresh seafoods!

Hope you can help me out with this plan!

Thank you in advance!

Buongiorno,

I sugest that you do San Gimignano & Siena on the same day and then spend an entire day in Chianti.

Last year I did a great bike tour in the area of Chianti, and upon request they can personalize it with wine tasting and a steak dinner just for you. You can read a review of the tour here: https://www.discovertuscany.com/tuscany-by-bike/bike-in-florence-and-tuscany-tours.html

As for a good steak dinner, look through this article here where we talk about some of our fave places in Florence (mine is Ortone, which isn't on the list, https://www.facebook.com/TrattoriaOrtone/?fref=ts).

Buon Viaggio,
