    Default Most Romantic Towns?

I love this site and all the information! Can you recommend your top most romantic towns to stay in? We have 4 days next summer and I really want to stay in one of those beautiful hillside towns with breathtaking scenery. I was just told Pienza, Lucca and Montelpulciano fit that description.

There is just so much to take in looking at all the different places we can stay. Help!

    Thanks!

    Default Romantic towns

    Buongiorno,

You do realize that is a tough question!! Sometimes it seems like all towns are romantic in one way or another.

The towns you named are definitely quaint, with cobbled stone roads, beautiful architecture, small shops and delicious little restaurants.

I do enjoy Lucca, and there is so much to do near by, for example the wine roads and historic villas and romantic gardens. I find Lucca to be very easy to feel the culture and enjoy the local atmosphere.

Montepulciano is located further south in Tuscany and definitely highlights a whole other landscape including wine tasting.

Plus a stay in Montepulciano puts you less than 20-25 minutes from Pienza and the spectacular views in Val d'Orcia.

I suggest that you have a look at this article that groups together our top ten selection of romantic accommodations in Chianti -

    Buon Viaggio,

And what about Montefioralle, Colle Val d'Elsa, Volterra, San Gimignano?

And Florence itself! And Pisa, Lucca, Pistoia... It's sure, you can't go wrong!

Riccardo.......now you are just making it even tougher throwing in these other towns. LOL. My head is already spinning enough. Maybe I will just keep coming back every year until I stayed in every one of these beautiful towns.

    Default Which would I choose

Well...if I had to choose from the ones you listed for views and countryside, I would probably go south towards Val d'Orcia and either Pienza or Montepulciano.

However, depending on your length of stay you should also look at these 3 different accommodations - I have personally visited all three and would definitely put them on my super romantic list:
