Assisting in the wine harvest

Each year my wife and I spend 2-3 months in different parts of Europe at during various seasons of the year. When our visits correspond to harvest time we have participated in harvesting grapes at wineries/vineyards. The last such experience was in 2015 in a wonderful winery in Alsace near Strasbourg. This year we will spend September/October in Florence. Are there any Tuscan wineries that offer single-day opportunities to assist with the harvest? We don't have a car but are very experienced using all types of local transportation. Thanks in advance for your help!

Harvesting in Florence

Buongiorno,

Italy has managed to make this a bit of an ordeal - technically you can not participate in the harvest due to liability, tax and a whole slew of other reasons (yes that is an eyeroll on my part at this point!)

HOWEVER, having said that there are some places that really merit you looking into because they have some interesting ways of incorporating you into the excitement of the harvest and are easily reached with public transport:

Buon Viaggio,

Donna Denise
