What to do in Florence on May1st?
We will be in Florence from April 30th through May 3rd. We recently discovered that on May 1st most, if not all, museums are closed and coincidentally so is the Duomo as that is the first Tuesday of the month. Any information on what will be open, including the central market, shops in the Oltrarno, restaurants generally, or other points of interest, including day trips, would be much appreciated.

May 1st in Tuscany & Florence
Buongiorno,
Besides just strolling the city and enjoying the atmosphere, gelato and pizza?
I suggest that you look at doing a tour outside of of Florence, because they work with people who are open all year long:

or a wine tasting tour:

We will be updating the May calendar within the next two months, and I suggest that you keep an eye out on that since we will give you a few ideas for what is happening on the 1st of May:

Buon Viaggio,
