Travelling with baby to a wedding in Siena: where else to explore?

Hi Tuscany experts!

My husband and I will be attending a wedding near Siena (in Monteriggioni) at the end of July with a baby - we thought it would be worth making a holiday out of it, and to stay in another area of Tuscany before the wedding.

We've been to Florence twice before, and although we love it dearly we would like to find a different place in Tuscany to stay for a few nights, somewhere quite relaxed so that we can take it easy with the baby.

We're restricted by not being able to drive, so any places with good train connections from Florence are ideal for us. (we'll likely be flying into Florence)

We are suckers for old Italy and beautiful landscapes - at the moment there seems to be so much choice we're not sure where to start! Any recommendations from parents, or even non-parents with areas that you would reccommend would be much appreciated :-D

Grazi!! Poppy
