]We have never been to Italy . We are staying in Manciano a small town on the Southern edge of Tuscany. We are getting ready to Plan but not sure when to go. Thanks would appreciate feedback for the best times and things to do during those times as well as the weather temps.

What to do around Manciano

Buongiorno,

It's so exciting planning a "first time" trip to Tuscany - and it is so easy to be overwhelmed by the choices you have. I am going to assume you mean Manciano, the one close to the Terme di Saturnia? BTW I didn't see the dates for your holiday? But if you want to know more about the temps, this article can help - otherwise send us your dates for some more specific input.

The first thing on your list of "things-to-do" should definitely be the hot water pools of Saturnia. The area surrounding Manicano is called the Maremma, and it is just loaded with great scenery - wine - cultural events and history so I suggest you read through these couple of articles for more detailed ideas for your itinerary. (my favorite are the activities on the wine trail of Montecucco!!)

However, you might want to spend a day or two exploring some nearby towns like that of Siena, San Gimignano and maybe dedicated some time to explore the world famous landscapes of Val d'Orcia.

Buon Viaggio,

Donna Denise
