My husband & I are travelling from Venice early in April.
We'd like to visit Florence & Siena or Chiati/tuscany region.
we're travelling by train/bus willing to take local tours vs renting a car
we've been to pisa & Lucca so looking for new adventures
we love history architecture wine and smaller quainter town mind you we loved Florence 26 years ago
we have roughly 10 days from when we leave Venice before we head north to Switzerland from Florence, so we'd like to end our time in Italy in Florence. We're also coming around Easter weekend April 8 -14/15

Easter in Tuscany

Buongiorno,

Sounds wonderful!

I definitely suggest that you start by reading the response we gave in this post:

As for small towns where you can stay, there really are so many! But I am going to list a few that I have visited:

Within walking distance of a small town:

Close to Florence - yet totally immersed the typical Tuscan landscape:

Close to San Gimignano - and a fabulous restaurant:

I really loved the views, and a corner of Tuscany not often visited by tourists:

Great couple...and cooking lessons!:

Enjoy the history of this place:

I hope this gives you a bit of help.

Buon Viaggio,
