Default Arriving to Florence Good Friday

We are travelling from Milan to Florence on Good Friday. I am interested in knowing if restaurants and general food shops will be open? Will the buses and trains be running to a different schedule?
    Thank you

    Default hours as usual...

    Ciao Evelyn,

Good Friday is not an official holiday so you'll find all shops, restaurants and supermarkets open with regular times. Trains and buses run on usual weekday schedules.
In addition to Easter, only the Monday after is a holiday as well so keep that in mind for buying groceries or planning your day that Monday!
In the beginning stages of planning to come to Tuscany? Make sure to read Where to Stay in Tuscany WITH a car and Where to Stay in Tuscany WITHOUT a car for ideas on where to stay in Tuscany. Also read When to Visit Tuscany to decide when is the best times for your visit.
