Florence to Peretola Airport

Hi,

I have a flight from Peretola, Florence airport tomorrow at 11. I was wondering what is the best way to get to the airport by public transport from the centre of Florence.
I have an interrail pass, so ideally it'll be by train, but if not a bus would be fine.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

If you don't want to take a taxi, then head to Piazza della Stazione to the SITA bus station (around the corner in front of the train station on Via Santa Caterina d'Alessandria). The Vola in Bus shuttle to the airport leaves from inside the bus station - you can see the link with timetables for the airport shuttle at the end of the article on this page:

Unfortunately, there is no train to the airport so it is either taxi or bus!

Thank you Lourdes.

I will check the timetable now. Just to check, is Florence Peretola the main airport? Is it usually just called Florence airport?

Yes, there is only one airport in Florence but it gets confusing as it is referred with two different names:
Amerigo Vespucci Airport AND Peretola. But there is only ONE, they are both the same one! :D

The next closest airport is in Pisa and that is called Galileo Galilei airport - luckily, it only has one name ;)
