Hi!
My husband and I are going to Tuscany on the 27. of April and can hardly wait. There is just one problem. We would like to go to Il Chianti and naturally also to wine tasting, so we would like to live our car behind.
Is it possible, and how, to get from Cecina - we are staying at Fonte alla Lepre - with public or any kind of transportation, as long as we don`t have to drive.

Thank you so much for your answer!!!

If you want to go wine tastings in Chianti and not have to worry about driving, I would suggest joining in on a group tour. That way they do the driving, you can do the drinking!

From Cecina, you could actually do tours in areas closer to Pisa or head south to Bolgheri, another famous wine area in Tuscany. Take a look at this tour which departs from Pisa:

If you're set with Chianti, the best bet would be to take a train into Florence in the morning and then join in an afternoon tour into Chianti from there - take a look at this one: https://www.partner.viator.com/en/8...our-with-Wine-Tasting-Experience/d519-6367P13

Cecina to Florence

Buongiorno,

To get to Chianti you will want to train it to Florence and then catch a bus out to Chianti.

go to http://www.trenitalia.com/ and search fro Cecina to Firenze SMN. It is a two hour ride, be sure to pick one that has NO changes - just less of a hassel.

then you can have a look at this article for wine tasting opportunities from Florence

It is a long day. You could look into wine tasting opportunities closer to home, for example Bolgheri.

Buon Viaggio
