Tuscany with a car

Hi :):)

Me and my boyfriend are planning a trip to Italy in September and we will be in Tuscany for 3 nights.
Day 1: arrive to Florence by car (from Rome). Stops in San Gimignano and Siena on the way.
Day 2: organized trip to Cinque Terre.
Day 3: Pisa and Florence.
Day 4: Drive to Venice (maybe a stop in Verona).

My question is if there is any particular problem in parking the car with our luggage in Siena and San Giminiano as we plan to stop there before arriving to the hotel in Florence.
Are there any recommended parking lots in Siena, San Gimignano and Pisa?

I would very much appreciate any suggestions to improve our plan and if there is a better way to move around Tuscany.:eek:

Thank you!!

Parking in Tuscany

Buongiorno,

If you are keeping your luggage in the trunk/boot of the car, “hidden” so to speak, you should not have a problem in those areas. San Gimignano is very well organized with parking:

In Pisa, I personally prefer the lot directly in front of the Piazza dei Miracoli:

In Siena, I normally look to park outside of the city center and walk in to visit the sites:

You look pretty organized, but I will note that trying to do Florence and Pisa on the same day seem like a lot to cover. You might want to cut one out so that you can fully enjoy the other. The same with both Siena and San Gimignano. Though you can probably do SG in an afternoon...but Siena truly merits a full day or at least a day without being rushed to head off and see another site.

Buon Viaggio,
Donna Denise
