hi!
me and my wife are planning a 6-7 days trip in Tuscany.(first time in italy)
we are very into wine, good food and nice views. we are not so much into the purely heavily touristic places.
after exploring quite a bit we rented "Borgo Sant'Ambrogio - Resort" at pienza for 3 nights, and we are thinking going for another 2-3 nights furthur up north- but dont know where to stay to maximise the most out of the area. just in case i booked 2 places: in Sesto Fiorentino, and in Cantagrillo. what do you think? would u split the time spent each place differently?

base in Tuscany

Buongiorno,

going north to Sesto Fiorentino, will definitely show you another area from Pienza...and give you easy access to the city center of Florence.

I am not familiar with Cantagrillo, however if I were just to go on the position in the map, I wonder if maybe it doesn't "vary" the things enough for you...Imight suggest taht you look towards the area of Volterra with its specatcular historic center and intriguing landscapes ... or even Montespertoli which will give you a taste of Chianti without going into the tourist attraction area.

These are two places I have visited in the areas above that I think would fit your requirements for not touristy and for foodies. Have a read to see if they are interesting.

Buon Viaggio,

PS - though they are sponsored articles I do offer an honest opinion - and we do not earn anything for the bookings. Just thought I'd let you know.
