    Post Best Hotel Area

Hi - What do you suggest as the most central area to base our center of Tuscany trip which will include Chianti, Val d' Orcia, San Gimignano, Sienna, Montepulciano and Arezzo. Is it better to split and stay first in the north (like Greve) and then to the south (like Montepulciano) or to find a place completelyt central and do all these cities by day trip?

If you have the time, at least 5 days, I would divide up the time into two, just to avoid too much driving.... as you suggested, closer to Florence at first, then moving down to the area south of Siena.
But if time is limited, the most central would be close to Siena (not inside the city) so that you can easily get to the Firenze-Siena superstrada and be on your up and down, also enjoying the smaller scenic roads to see the countryside and the smaller towns.
