Hello,

I have been to Tuscany in Spring few years ago. I went to San Gimignano, Volterra and Siena.

This time in July I will stay at Pienza for 3 nights and 2 nights in Florence. I will travel by car.
My Itinerary
12Jul - Visit Lucca and Monterrigioni
13Jul - Sightseeing around Val d'Orcia
14Jul - Sightseeing around Val d'Orcia or Visit Arezzo & Cortona
15Jul - Travel to Florence via Chianti
16-17 - Sightseeing in Florence

Is it possible to see the blooming Sunflower Fields and Lavender Fields in these area? If yes, please advice where to go?

Thanks in advance,
mex

Ciao Mex,

Your itinerary looks good in general, but staying in Pienza and going all the way to Lucca on the other side of the region is the only part that looks a bit off. I'd take it off and enjoy what's closer. If you absolutely want to include Lucca, I'd do it at the end.

I'd propose something more like this:
day 1 - val d'orcia
day 2- arezzo and cortona
day 3 - monteriggioni, san galgano, colle val d'elsa
day 4 - drive through Chianti on way to Florence
day 5 - Florence
day 6 - morning and afternon in Lucca, evening back in Florence

There are no lavender fields in Tuscany, just sunflowers. It is likely you'll see them as you drive around on day 2 and day 3 for sure, with likely more sightings on day 4. July will be the perfect month to catch them in bloom, we're getting some feedback that they're just starting to come out now.

Ciao Lourdes,

Thank you for your information. Glad to hear that I will be able to see Sunflowers in many areas.
