Default !2 day trip of Tuscany

Our group of about ten plan to spend 12 nights in Tuscany and are
thinking of spending 3 or 4 nights each in 3, or maybe 4, cities.
We would like to hire a van and driver to drive us around when we
visit surrounding areas and when we are moving our base from one city
to the next. We will probably start from Florence, see the city and
places around Florence and then drive to the next city (Siena?), seeing
other worthwhile places/wineries en route. We will repeat the process
in the second city, and then drive to the next after spending a few nights.
We will eventually return to Florence.

I'd be most grateful for suggestions on where we should base ourselves
for the overnight stays, how many nights in each place and places to visit
when moving from one base to the next. Recommendations of places to stay
would also be most welcome as also hiring a van and driver.

    Many thanks.

    Default Stops in Florence

    Buongiorno,

You can try contacting Stefano at Stedop, a bus / driver (with several size buses ) to get an idea of price. I have used him in the past and found him to be professional, reliable and pretty much a good price.

As for selecting places to base yourself - I would narrow it down to three places

    Florence

    between Florence and Siena

    between Siena and Val d'Orcia

otherwise I think you will be spending way too much time packing and un-packing.

Plus when you have a driver, you don't need to worry about navigating the roads they will make sure you have the shortet trip possible!

Have a look at these articles which should give you a few ideas of stops to include on your itin:

I also suggest that you have a look at these articles so you can gather some ideas about what is out there to explore:

    Buon Viaggio,
