Default 15 nights at Borgo Alle Vigne -- What to do?

We have reservations near Selvatelle, for 15-nights from September 21 to October 6, 2018. We will be staying three-nights in Florence prior to Selvatelle, and three-nights in Venice after Selvatelle. On previous trips we've seen Florence, Sienna, Pisa, Luca, Volterra, and San Gimignano. We absolutely loved Volterra; we had a tour by Annie (don't remember her last name) that we intend to repeat.

We have not yet seen the Appennine Colossus and would like to on this trip. Is round trip public transportation (train/bus) to/from the Colossus easily obtained from Florence? Is the Colossus open in our time frame?

What other hill towns do you recommend?

What three things are a must-do for Florence?

What are three, must-do things for Venice?

Default Enjoying Tuscany the second time around

you can check out this link for more information about viewing the the massive statue of the Colossus of the Apennines by Giambologna (1579-80): https://www.discovertuscany.com/muge...lino-park.html

it definitely looks like your time frame will work with the opening hours of the park.

Other places to put on your radar when visiting Florence:

I enjoy the Giardino Bardini, especially early in the day - https://www.visitflorence.com/floren...i-gardens.html

Many people never make it to the other side of the Arno River, but if you do the church of Santo Spirito is a lovely stop - https://www.visitflorence.com/floren...o-spirito.html

I know we have down as a kid friendly activity, but it is great for just adults too! Look at number 4 - https://www.visitflorence.com/floren...-florence.html

As per some helpful hints for Venice, you might enjoy reading this blog article: https://www.bikeinflorence.com/venic...vacation-tips/

    Buon Viaggio,
