We will be spending two nights in an agriturismo near Talamone before heading to Montepulciano for two evenings. We will spend some time in the parque della maremma and Saturnia, but am wondering if there is something we shouldn't miss in the area. Grazie!Deb

Things not to miss in the area

Buongiorno,

As you travel between Talamone and Montepulciano you might find that these articles give you a few ideas:

In the end you will probably realize that two days...is just not enough:cool:

Thank you

Donna Denise, Thank you so much. We have rented an air bnb in Porto Santo Stafano and will spend two days there. I am waiting to hear from an agriturismo near Pitigliano for another 3 days to explore the area. This will give us more time until we move to another agriturismo near Montepulciano.Deb

Pitigliano and area

WOW -

great thinking, Pitigliano is amazing as are the towns of Sovana and Sorano

It always seems to me that there is never "enough" time where ever I go, however I can assure you that just one day exploring these three towns will definitely give you the time to appreciate it all.

Especially make time to enjoy the local cuisine and wine.

Buon viaggio,

Donna Denise

Make sure to include some time at the beach! :D

Your visit to the Maremma park will include some hiking, I presume? I think with 2 days there and then moving to Pitigliano, you will get most of the "highlights". I'd suggest the Tarot Garden as an interesting stop either between the Talamone or Pitigliano stays.
