Wedding Help!

2017

New member
Hello,
We are looking to get married in Florence next summer and similar comments to other posts. Some of the prices our wedding planner seems to quote seem completely crazy.

I was wondering if anyone can help with the below.
1) We are looking for a hair & make up artist that can come to do my hair, just wavy down style and light make up in Florence.

2)Can anyone suggest a good modern brass band that could play

3) We are looking for an area to host welcome drinks that can have up to 100 people standing. Lots of places that have been suggested have quote 2000 + rental fee and then 35 per person for a drink and seems nibbles. Which is just madness. Can anyone suggest a local wine bar/ restaurant that might be able to host us for a few hours.

Thanks in advance,
Pamela

Buongiorno,

You might want to try this group out for the music, they can communicate in English so just write them a message on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ptprojectgroup/?pnref=story

As for your hair and make up, the trick is to NOT tell them its for a wedding. Personally I use Sarino ( https://www.facebook.com/sarino.diffusion ) and I love the way she listens to me. I just got a french manicure and my hair styled for less than 50 Euro.

As for a place that has a bit of style but will accommodate 100 persons, I was just at Aviazione in Florence and they had a good menu, lots of space and it is rather an interesting historic location. My friends tell me it is often used for parties, but I have no idea of the possible prices. https://www.facebook.com/aviazionecampodimartefirenze/?fref=ts

Buon Viaggio,

Some great information here. Yeah finding the proper band / music might be challenging. Hope that FB group can help you find what you're looking for.
