    Default itinerary advice

    Hi

We will be driving from Paris to Trequanda (close to Sinalunga), on August 7 and would like to spend a night or 2 on the way down. Do you have advice on places to stay overnight and driving routes that maybe are not too busy at this time? I know that some of this will be outside Tuscany, but hope you can help!

For the return trip, we will need to be back in Paris on August 17. IF you have a different route and place to stay overnight, that would be great!

    Thank you

    Han

Wow, well that's a pretty long route... and as far as busy at this time of the year, you shouldn't find major traffic along the entire route, only on the parts that get close to the coast as vacationers make their way there (often on the weekends - and returning home on the weekends).

As far as places to stay on the way there and back -- I suggest just taking the time to map the route on Google Maps and see what suggestions it offers, what towns you pass through and go from there. You might discover towns you've heard of but have never visited and might want to stop there, just for fun!

Another suggestion - you could drive down through France one way, back through Switzerland to vary the driving!
