Hello,
We (my husband and I) are visiting Tuscany between 19th and 30 September and would like to explore the area a bit more. We have already visited Florence and Siena and would now like to visit some of the other smaller / hill top towns and enjoy the scenery. I have an idea to split the time between 2 centres but maybe better only one? I have hear Val d'Orcia recommended a lot? Can you recommend an area / accommodation bearing in mind the following criteria :
1. Accommodation rural but not too far from a town (max 5 kms)
2. Price range - between 80 and 120 Euros per night
3. Possibility to self cater as well as eat an evening meal or restaurant nearby
4. Pool
5. We would like to do some independent walks or take part in group walks
6. Maybe do one cookery course
Any advice would be gratefully appreciated
Kind regards
Vick H.
