Hello,
I am travelling to Florence in early September.

Would like to take my sister and partner to the Giostra del Saracino in Arezzo, on Sunday 7 September.

Can people advise?

How to get tickets if at all.
What time does the parade start.
Can people get into the piazza free to watch the tornament or do you have to purchase tickets.

Appreciate any assitence or advice

thanks

Joe

Have you already read this article dedicated to the Giostra del Saracino?
The site linked at the bottom has more details on tickets - there are standing room tickets so it means the piazza is closed off from "free" entrance.

Tickets start being sold August 28th and are sold in Arezzo, up to the day of the tournament.
You might not find seated spots by then, but it is likely you will find standing room tickets (6 euro).
Since the tournament is earlier (at 5pm), the parade should start earlier too, I think around around 3:30pm.

Lourdes,
I am trying to better understand the standing room tickets for the June joust. We just finalized our travel plans to Arezzo and the deadline for ticket sales has expired according to the official website, so it doesn't seem we can get tickets. From your message above, it seems that the standing room area also requires tickets for 6 euro. I want to confirm I understand that right and then determine if there is any way to get tickets at this point?

Thank you,
Christie
