Hi everyone
I will be traveling to Tuscany in November this year with my 15 year old daughter. The plan at this stage is to rent an apartment in either Siena or Florence for the full 2 weeks and take part in daily Italian lessons. This will leave afternoons and weekends free for getting the feel of the area and trips to surrounding areas. I will not have a car for the entire time but would consider getting one for a few days to make it possible to see places not well covered by public transport. I also enjoy doing the occasional organised tour. So... any advice on the benefits/disadvantages of Siena vs Florence would be greatly appreciated.
