Le Rinacenze at Villa Reale di Marlia

Two events we cannot miss await us at Villa Reale di Marlia

This summer, the beautiful Villa Reale di Marlia together with the Lucca-based association Kreativa organize two special events dedicated to art, culture and entertainment: the first one is Le Rinascenze by Night – Art Under the Stars scheduled for the night of San Lorenzo on Monday, August 10 from 6pm to around 11:30pm and Le Rinascenze – Arte in Villa 2020 to be held on September 26 and 27, 2020 (moved from May due to the health emergency).

Both events will take place with all the necessary precautions issued by the ministry of health.

Le Rinascenze by Night – Art in the Villa on the night of desires

Le Rinascenze by night is an event perfect for all those looking for a romantic and scenic destination to spend the night of S. Lorenzo, a chance to support art and culture while enjoying the pleasure of the entertainment. The 16-hectare park that frames the ancient residence will be the ideal place to enjoy the magical sunset and night thanks to the lighted paths, set specifically to enhance the various corners of the royal garden.

** This is a rare opportunity as it is the first time ever that you can visit the gardens at night, lit for the special occasion. **

The garden, steeped in art and history, will mix fireworks, live music and sound effects together with painting, photography and sculpture exhibitions scattered throughout the various gardens on a day traditionally considered magical as the sky offers falling stars.

The event is free, but you do need to pay the normal park entrance ticket without any extra charge for that day. Since entrance will be allowed only until a certain number of people is reached (precedence will be given to those who pre-purchase a ticket online), I recommend you don’t wait and book your ticket now on the villa’s official website → https://shop.villarealedimarlia.it/#rinascenze-by- night

It is possible to arrive starting from 5pm onwards, your ticket will remain valid in the event you exit the villa for dinner and return by 10pm.

Le Rinascenze – Art in the Villa – September 26 and 27

The festival will be repeated and extended with uninterrupted performances, exhibitions and shows in September over a whole weekend across every corner of the park. There will be dedicated areas for exhibitions and workshops as well as improvisational theater and surprises along the various paths, designed to leave the spectator (us) fascinated and intrigued, with the desire to continue along the path to find out what happens next… as well as become involved in the artistic atmosphere.

The hours for September 26 are from 2 to 6pm and from 10am to 6pm on Sunday, September 27. We recommend you reach the Villa by car, even if there is also bus 59 from the historic center of Lucca that arrives at the villa (but it not operative on Sunday).

Again, the event is free but park entrance must be paid.  Adults € 9 to visit only park or € 14 for park and villa, children between 14 and 17 years pay reduced ticket of € 7 park / € 12 park and villa, under 13 years enter free.

Villa Reale awaits on August 10 as everyone attempts to catch a falling star to whom to entrust the most secret wish, the ones often difficult to say out loud and again on September 26 and 27 to have fun outdoors surrounded by the beauty of this beautiful garden, a truly exclusive location to spend a weekend at. Do not miss these two events, as they are necessary in our path to find a smile in these unique and difficult times.
