The Biennale of Contemporary Art in Florence 2013

From November 30th to December 8th, Florence won’t be just the “cradle of the Renaissance” but also capital of contemporary art thanks to the Florence Biennale, an international arts event dedicated to contemporary art which brings artists from all over the world to Florence’s splendid Fortezza da Basso.

The 9th edition of Florence Biennale, entitled “Ethics: DNA of Art” and headed by Art Director Rolando Bellini, will focus on giving artists under 30 special attention to share the visions and dreams of the new generation of artists.
As in past editions, during the Florence Biennale the prestigious international Lifetime achievement award “Lorenzo il Magnifico” will be conferred by the international jury to those individuals and organizations that have distinguished themselves in art, design, and culture.

This year, the event will be particularly interesting and interactive thanks to the program of teaching demonstrations, creative
workshops, seminars and meetings with internationally renowned guest artists.
